Can we all agree that was pretty bad? I know. If you're in the same boat I was in, don't worry. The great thing about Etsy is that it's easy to make changes and improve all the time!

CAUTION: Your item title directly corresponds to your web link to the item. Once you have great item titles leave them alone! I suggest not adding keywords for holidays or sales, because that changes the web link. That means that any links you have out on the web, on your Facebook page, in a gift guide, or wherever, all become dead when you change the name. That means people can't find you and you lose all those backlinks from Google. The place to insert changing keywords like Christmas or Mother's Day is in your item description.

The one exception to this is if you run a sale through an app like Etsy on Sale that changes the title name temporarily and then reverts to the original as soon as the sale is over.
